The takeaway: confirm your own state’s specific criteria, because there is no general active-duty or honorably-discharged toll discount on E-ZPass roads.

Where it exists, the benefit is a full toll exemption rather than a percentage off. New York’s Thruway Authority gives qualifying disabled veterans free, unlimited Thruway travel.
