Short answer: Yes, Celebrity Cruises has an ongoing military rate on select sailings: $25 off per person on inside and ocean-view staterooms, and $100 off per person on veranda cabins and above, for the first two guests in the room. The bigger “Cruising for Heroes / Veterans Sail Free” promotion was a one-off event (Celebrity Millennium, 2020) and is not currently bookable.
Who qualifies
- Active and reserve members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard or National Guard, plus the Canadian Armed Forces.
- Retired members of any of those branches.
- Honorably discharged veterans who served at least 2 years, or 6 months in an active war zone.
- Spouses of actively deployed or deceased military personnel can book one stateroom at the rate.
What you get
A flat dollar discount, not a percentage: $25 off per person for inside and ocean-view cabins, $100 off per person for veranda, Concierge, AquaClass and suites. It only applies to the first and second guest in the same stateroom, and only on sailings that have military rates loaded, so availability varies by cruise and date. The rate generally applies to cruises of four nights or longer and excludes Galapagos sailings. It typically can’t be combined with every other promotion, and the savings are modest against the total fare.
How to claim it
This rate isn’t applied through the normal online checkout. Book direct with Celebrity (or a travel agent who can request the rate) and ask for the military fare at the time of booking. You’ll need to submit proof of service, usually within 48 hours: a military ID for active or retired members, or a DD-214 plus photo ID for veterans. Bring valid military ID to the pier as well, since eligibility is re-checked at check-in.
