This is a vintage Lovell clothes wringer, likely made by the Lovell Manufacturing Company in Erie, PA. These devices were used to squeeze water out of wet laundry after washing, reducing drying time. The Lovell Manufacturing Co. patented and produced various items, including cash registers and mousetraps.
While wringer washers are no longer widely manufactured, some manual versions are still available. They were a significant step in mechanizing laundry. However, it's important to note that wringer washers can cause injuries if not used carefully. The last wringer washing machines were produced between 1983 and 1994.
Approximately 13.5” long and 6.5” wide without the handles
