This listing is for four vintage papier mache snack/canape trays. The design is a floral chintz with pink and golden flowers and green leaves. The trays were made in Japan, ca. 1950's. The design has a coating of shellac which is alcohol proof. Size: 5 1/8 in. wide x 8 3/8 in. long. The mark on back of each tray reads: "Highmount /Quality /Alcohol Proof"; there is also a "Made in Japan" sticker. Condition is very good; trays are sturdy; there are no chips or cracks; all have light wear which is consistent with their age or better. The close-up photos are to show rim flubs (on two trays) made during application of the design. I have eight trays available; this listing is for four.
