A fascinating lot of five early Oxford Disc 78 RPM records, dating from the acoustic era (approx. 1900s–1910s). While condition ranges from Worn to VG, these are rare survivors with some historically important performances.

Vess Ossman – The Rocky Road to Dublin (banjo solo) – Worn. Scarce title by the famous banjoist.

Columbia Brass Quartet – Sweet and Low – Fair condition. Lovely early harmony, though surface wear is present.

Byron Harlan – Congressman Filkin’s Homecoming (vaudeville sketch) – VG. A strong example of an early talking record with surprisingly clear audio for the period.

Charles D’Almaine – Imitation of Bagpipes – Poor/Fair. Famous novelty recording, but has a non-passing dig. With digital editing (Audacity, etc.), a clean transfer should be possible.

Unidentified March – VG. Label unreadable, but sound is bright and enjoyable; a solid early band performance.

Condition: These discs show their age, with wear ranging from Worn to VG
