This is a Kodak Brownie Target Six-16 a box-type camera, part of the well-known Kodak Brownie series. It uses 616 film, which is now obsolete, but the camera can be adapted to use 120 film. It features a simple meniscus lens, two apertures (around f/11 and f/16), and a shutter with instantaneous and bulb modes.
Produced from 1941 to 1946, its facade has a distinctive symmetrical Art Deco geometric pattern.The large 2 ½ x 4 ½ inch negative size was chosen to produce a "postcard" format image when contact printed. It’s from an estate sale. The handle on top is broken and shows some wear from age. Great addition for a camera display.
