Film Type: It uses 126 film cartridges, which are no longer widely manufactured but can sometimes be found as expired film or reloaded cartridges. There are also adapters available, such as the Fakmatic 35mm to 126 adapter, to allow the use of 35mm film in 126 cameras.
Flash: The "F" in X-15F denotes its compatibility with the Flipflash system, which replaced the earlier Magicube flash system. It has a flip flash socket for attaching a disposable flip flash unit.
