Thousand Faces Immortal 6 Saucer Plates Dragons Japan Signed Vintage Porcelain.

The Meiji era is an era of Japanese history which extended from1868 to 1912. Thousand Face" design plate, circa 1890-1912, is from the late Meiji era. It contains many elements of design starting with a gold and orange dragon design in the center, a band of blue columns, a wide band of yellow, blue, red and green columns decorated with different Japanese gold designs, another wide band with the thousand faces design, a gold band and finally a band of delicate flowers with orange and Mary gold trim. The plate measures 6” across, each plate has very intricate and elaborate hand painted of men with robes, with diverse men faces. Some cosmetic flaws such as in some areas are fating, and around bottom edge are rough to the touch and minimum chips. Please see pictures . Unique and one of kind fascinating piece of art.
