Classical art work adorns the top of this vintage Reuge Music Box. “The Shepardess” by Francois Boucher a Rococo painter known for pastoral and mythological themes. The Swiss Reuge made music box is is known for its high quality. It has 3 song, 72 pin cylinder that works perfectly! The front has a gold “harp” mechanism that turns it on & off, when gently slid left to right. The lid has a mirror, there is glass above the workings so one can be mesmerized watching the well crafted mechanism as it plays! The 3 songs are : Minuet by J.S. Bach, Gigue by A. Corelli, Allegro by W.A.Mozart. This is a beautiful example of Swiss craftsmanship. It will & has stood the test of time. It is in great condition.
