This is an antique, late 19th to early 20th century, 1890's - 1910, wood barrel staved, flat top, steamer and railway, travel trunk.
Value is $125 - $200. Also, have over $100 tied up in it from price of piece and restoring.I purchased this trunk for $30 but in all honesty have at least $100 tied up in, between the bought price & things I purchased to restore it, no doubt i hope this is a good investment! Spent 10 hours+ carefully touching up every inch while still keeping its antiquuness. If interested call (contact info removed) I got it for a really good deal! I guess the seller didn't know much about antiques but this piece was built around the mid 1800s. Some people call it the Civil War Chest. I tried not to change the body of it too much seeing as it is an antique however I did fix a couple things that were broken and added my own touch to it. I really have around $100 in it but restoring them are a hobby for me, the money is second.
