Antique Nippon 2 Handled Pedestal Bowl Bird Floral Morimura Gumi 1891-1911
During this period, items exported from Japan to the United States were marked with "Nippon" due to the McKinley Tariff Act of 1890. After 1921, the marking was changed to "Japan" or "Made in Japan". The specific mark in the image, featuring a maple leaf, was used by Morimura Gumi, a company that later became Noritake, between 1891 and 1911. Therefore, the porcelain piece in the image can be confidently dated between 1891 and 1911
